I intended to plant a fall garden last year. However pregnancy was not so kind to me and it did not happen. And in case you’re wondering, the little guy is becoming not-so-little and is stealing my heart more and more every day.

I’m already getting excited about the day he can start eating solid food. I have plans to make all of his food and I want to grow as much of it as I can as well. So I’m really hoping that my fall garden will be successful and baby’s first food will be homegrown! Below is the plan for my fall garden in my 4′ x 8′ raised garden beds. (And I also have a lot of herbs in pots around the yard.) This last weekend I planted quinoa and Brussels sprout seeds in soil blocks. In another month I’ll start broccoli, cauliflower, and the rest of the cabbage in soil blocks as well. And shortly after I’ll direct sow everything else. I’ll, of course, keep you posted on how it goes. Wish me luck! Until next time, happy gardening!
