Whatcha-Makin Wednesday: Fried Chicken

I love fried chicken. And fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy… oh goodness, I’m in heaven. My go-to recipe for fried chicken is Amy Thielen’s Fried Chicken with Gravy. The recipe has you fry the chicken in a little bit of oil on the stovetop and then finish off the chicken in the oven, which is nice because then you don’t have a ton of oil to dispose of at the end. I’m convinced that the thing that makes this chicken awesome is the addition of Ritz Crackers in the chicken coating. The crackers make the chicken’s coating buttery, crispy and just plain delicious! And this recipe puts my fresh thyme and sage to good use.

Now you want fried chicken right?! Until next time, happy cooking!
